Hello every one,
I am a research student. I am working with Germanium (semi-conductor) and one of the treatment that I do is to immerse Germanium in diluted Nitric acid or aqua regia to remove silver particles coming from aqueous salt solution (silver Nitric).
The problem is that acids damage my substrate and defect it.
So my questions are:
- is there a way to protect Germanium or to passivate it from acids effects? in a manner that the acids will only remove the silver particles.
- Is there another acid capable to remove silver particles very quickly from Germanium?
I read a lot of papers but I didn't find any answer, I count on you to help me.Thank you.
